The Torah

Yahweh gave us a set of instructions He called the Torah. The Torah consists of the first five books of the bible. There are approximately 600 instructions in the Torah, some for men, some for women, some for Priests, some for children and others pertaining to the temple. The next verses make it very clear God gives us choices that have eternal outcomes.
● Deuteronomy 4:8 And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?
● 2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God[a] may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
● Deuteronomy 30:11 This command I am giving you today is not too difficult for you to understand, and it is not beyond your reach.
● Numbers 23:19 God said He doesn't lie or change His mind and His Son made it clear that God’s doctrine is not His to change. if anyone makes claim that God’s law was changed aren't they calling God a liar?
● Malachi 3:6 For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed
● John 10:35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken
● Psalms 19:7 The instructions of Yahweh are perfect, reviving the soul. The decrees of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple. 8The commandments of the LORD are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commands of the LORD are clear, giving insight for living. 9 Reverence for the LORD is pure, lasting forever. The laws of the LORD are true; each one is fair.10 They are more desirable than gold, even the finest gold. They are sweeter than honey, even honey dripping from the comb.11 They are a warning to your servant, a great reward for those who obey them.

● Jeremiah 33”31 “This is the covenant I will make with the people of Israel after that time,” declares the Lord. “I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.
● Ezekiel 36:26-27 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them.
● 1 Thessalonians 2:13 And we also thank God continually because, when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as a human word, but as it actually is, the word of God, which is indeed at work in you who believe
● Ecclesiastes 12:14 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
● Proverbs 28:9 He that turned away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.
● 1 John 3:4 Everyone who practices sin practices lawlessness (evil) as well. Indeed, sin is lawlessness.
● Exodus 12:49"The same law shall apply to the natives to the stranger who sojourns among you."
● Deuteronomy 30:20 that you may love the Yahweh your God, that you may obey His voice, and that you may cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days; and that you may dwell in the land which the Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, to give them.”
● Ezekiel 18:24 “The righteous behavior of righteous people will not save them if they turn to sin (sin is transgression of the law) nor will the wicked behavior of wicked people destroy them if they repent and turn from their sins. (and are baptized)
● John 14:15 If you love Me, you will keep My commandments.
● Matthew 23:1 Then Yeshua spoke to the crowds and to His disciples: 2“The scribes and Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So practice and observe everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach
● 1 Timothy 1:8 Now we know that the Law is good, if one uses it legitimately
● Psalm 19: 7 The law (Torah)of the Yahweh is 7 is perfect, giving new strength to the soul. The Law He has made known is sure, making the child-likewise. 8 The Laws of the Yahweh are right, giving joy to the heart. The Word of the Yahweh is pure, giving light to the eyes.

The “scripture” Timothy refers to is what many people call the old testament, the new testament was not yet written.
● 2 Peter 1:20-21 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation.
● Proverbs 10:8 The wise will receive commandments, but a babbling fool will come to ruin

Most people believe that the law was only for the Jews or that it was nailed to the cross, however Yahweh said:
● Proverbs 28:9 He who turns away his ear from listening to the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
● Ecclesiastes 12:13 That's the whole story. Here now is my final conclusion: Fear God and obey his commands, for this is everyone's duty.
● Romans 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.
● 1 John 2: 4 If anyone says, “I know Him,” but does not keep His Commandments, he is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But if anyone keeps His word, the love of God has been truly perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him:…

Was the law nailed to the cross? Let's see what scripture says:

● Romans 8:2 For in Yeshua, the law of the Spirit of life has set you free from the law of sin and death. Adam and Eve activated the curse of sin and death, when they disobeyed Yahweh in the garden by eating from the the tree of good and evil.
● Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”But that no one is justified by the works of law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree” ) ,that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Yeshua, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
● Romans 2:13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified.
● Romans 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God
● Deuteronomy 12:32 Whatever I command you, you shall be careful to do; you shall not add to nor take away from it.
● Revelation 22:18 I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book;
● Matthew 5: 17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. 18 For I tell you truly, until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 So then, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do likewise will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
● Revelations 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life and may enter in through the gates into the city.
